Biographical / Historical

This series contains files pertaining to the Chapman Enterprise Institute which was created in November 1982 with the appointment of James Roosevelt as its Executive Director. The idea for a Chapman Enterprise Institute originated with a group of the trustees who felt that it would be appropriate to have the American spirit of enterprise symbolized by having an institute at Chapman. The intention was to give students an opportunity to fully understand the background and motivation of the business point of view, as well as the subsidiary off-shoots of the enterprise system in the moral and spiritual area.
