Scope and Contents

Photograph albums, postcards, and newspaper clippings. The photographs are mainly WWII era includingtwo b & w oversized group portrait photographs of women Coast Guard Reserves (SPARs) in various countries such as Guam and Hong Kong.. Also, there are photographs of later years, friends, family, and travel in Mexico and Spain, for example. Newspaper clippings relate to the loss of a friend's husband in WWII, Lt. Donald Mortimer. Additional accession of 5/22/2013 includes a CA Driver License belonging to Gladys Eileen Sparks expiring in 1979, a history of the name "Sparks" comiled by the Media Research Bureau, Washington, DC., and an envelope addressed by Mrs. and Mrs. A. R. Sparks.
