Scope and Contents
This collection contains 95 items including drafts, revisions, notes, correspondence, research materials, articles, proposals, synopses, scripts, manuscripts, notecards, and videocassettes for screenplays written by Edward Anhalt during his career as a screenwriter for television, movies, and plays. Plaques, awards, and certificates of achievement are also included in the collection.

Biographical / Historical
Born March 28, 1914. Died September 3, 2000.
A graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism, Edward Anhalt started his career in early television before turning to writing and producing films, often in collaboration with his wife Edna Anhalt. A prolific screenwriter, Anhalt and his wife won an Academy Award for Panic in the Streets (1950). He got his second Oscar for Becket (1964).

Many of the materials are dusty and show various signs of age. Some suffer from previous water and mold damage.
