Content Description

This collection consists of one album with aproximately 375 photos taken by men of the United States Army, Company A, 300th Infantry Regiment, after the Second World War in California.

The black and white photos show the tourism of the soldiers at a St. Patrick's Day parade in San Francisco, and various destinations and landscapes around Carmel, Fort Ord, and Monterey in California. The pictures also include their journey by train to Fort Meade, Maryland for their discharge.

The photos are not all in chronological order, though they are mostly grouped in order by location.

Condition Description

The album cover is in good condition but many of the pages (on which the photographs are attached) are extremely brittle.
