Scope and Contents
This collection contains 262 letters between Corporal Edwin B. Lasher and his wife, Jeanie, during the Second World War. Corporal Lasher served with the 7th Motion Picture Unit as a technician. Many of Corporal Lasher's letters tell stories of interacting with the Italian populace, and also include letters from his time as a private first class. Jeanie Lasher's letters to her husband discuss her daily routines, activities with friends and family, and news about friends and family.
Also included in this collection are miscellaneous letters written by various authors, a few pieces of ephemera, newspaper and magazine clippings, and a photograph.
