Content Description
This collection contains one scrapbook entitled "Plays I have Seen," printed in 1903. The book belonged to Lillian Ebinger and chronicles her trips to theaters, playhouses and vaudevillian shows from 1913 through 1921.
The book contains newspaper, magazine and playbill clippings, showcasing local theaters and performances. Cities include Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis and New York with notable establishments such as the Illinois Theater, Powers Theater, Blackstone Theater, Royal Alexandra Theater, Empire Theater and Majestic Theater.
Handwritten notes can be seen on most pages, commenting on her guests, her opinions on the performances and various aspects of the stage productions. Various other pieces of loose ephemera can be found placed throughout the book.
