This collection contains 4 correspondence between doctors and nurses at a mental hospital for shell-shocked veterans during and after the First World War. The letters specifically reference the reporting of the death of a Major Gervais Lufbery, the United States' first flying Ace. The information was sent to the Air Force Museum by the donor's ex-husband. Also contains one eyewitness account.
