This collection contains one helmet, several military documents, and other materials related to Pvt. Nickly (Nickely) Larsen, AEF during the First World War. Included in the military documents are special memorandum, discharge, and various other documents. Also included are photographs, a postcard book, an entertainment program and an address book. This collection also contains a full newspaper from December 7, 1941 from the Honolulu Star. Government documents spell his name as "Nickly," while Pvt. Larsen refers to himself as "Nickely." These items were later donated around late 2019/early 2020: 1 leather belt with pockets, 1 Valet Auto Strop shaving kit, 1 mirror with pouch, 1 ball of yarn, 2 German belt buckles that say "Gott Mit Uns", 1 German Iron Cross medal with the date 1914, 1 sewing kit, 3 newspapers dated in August 1945, 5 buttons, 7 pins, 1 belt buckle, 1 leather pouch, 1 panoramic photograph of service members, 1 brass knuckles, 1 pair of dog tags, 5 firearm cartridges (kept 2, disposed 3), and 1 whistle.
