This accession contains one Imperial Japanese Army postcard from James V. Kiernan to his father, Owen Kiernan. Kiernan was a civilian working as an employee of the Adjutant General's Corps in the Philippines. Of particular interest, this card was found and donated by Jim White, who is of no relation to the author or author's family. This item was found stuck in the pages of a copy of the book "Andersonville" as it was being processed for recycling.
