C.C. Hanan First World War correspondence
This collection contains one letter by C.C. Hanan, part of the aviation branch of the U.S. Army (No official Air Corps existed then) during the First World War. In the letter, Hanan describes the exhilaration of his first flight to his beloved, Frances. There is also an addendum that explains that after the war was over, an application for his assignment to the aviation branch was made, unknown to him. This letter is a type-written copy of the original penned letter.
