This collection contains one correspondence written by Private Sturges Phoenix Taggart, Supply Company, 120th Field Artillery, 2nd Battalion, U.S. Army, to his sister, Alice Delight Taggart, while still stationed France after the end of the First World War. In his letter, he muses about when he will be able to return to America, complains about his battalion, and considers his plans upon discharge.

Sturges Phoenix Taggart was born on June 14 (year unknown) in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He attended the Marquette Law School in Milwaukee. This letter was written to his sister, Alice Delight Taggart, after returning from France after the end of the First World War.
