This collection contains approximately 1,200 letters written by CH (Col.) Arthur J. Estes, USAR to his wife Jeane E. Estes throughout the Second World War, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Also included is one box of slides, one self-published memoir, and several personal histories and resumes. Estes served as a chaplain during all three conflicts.

This series contains the diaries and address books of Col. Arthur L. Hecht between 1944 and 1980. Included are 25 handwritten diaries, two address books, two travel diaries, and transcriptions for the 1944 and 1945 diaries. The diaries are kept in their original blue, linen-lined box, the transcriptions are in folder 1.

Scope and Contents This series contains correspondence from or concerning Capt. Gretchen H. Yoffa during the Second World War to her family. In October 1944, she wrote her family from Belgium and described the day to day of her time in Europe, adding a photograph with a young Belgian soldier. In December 1944, she wrote her sister and mentioned Paris being boring, and maybe visiting GI's in the hospital "for some excitement." In September 1945, a telegram was sent from the American Red Cross to her mother...

Scope and Contents This series contains one newspaper and one clipping. The clipping is a poem in English from a French paper sent to Hecht's mother, with handwritten notes. The newspaper is the Ninth Division Anniversary Edition paper from Fort Bragg August 1, 1941. Of particular note is the newspaper's neglect of the war in Europe. This collection contains correspondence and photographs from First Lieutenant Spencer W. Walker, United States Army Air Corps to his family and friends during the Second World War. Most of the correspondence is contained within two scrapbooks. Also included is one memoir, with transcriptions of the collected letters and 190 photographs, compiled by Lt. Walker circa 2000, as well as several black and white photographs with photocopies.
