Scope and Contents This series of photographs covers the important role of aviation in the life of Charles A. Lindbergh from 1925 to 1955. The majority of the photographs pertain to Charles A. Lindbergh's famous Trans-Atlantic flight on "The Spirit of St. Louis" (May 20-21, 1927). Other photographs include portraits of Charles A. Lindbergh, candid photographs, photographs of various airplanes, and the Lindbergh reception in New York City (June 14, 1927) after returning from his solo flight.
