There are photos of Japanese locals, the Clubmobiles and the women that ran them, Japanese architecture, Nagasaki and the aftermath of bombings, horse riding, and some other shots of men in uniform. Scope and Contents This series contains photographs belonging to Col. Arthur L. Hecht taken mostly at Fort Bliss, Texas while he was stationed there in the late 1940s. Scope and Contents This series contains one newspaper and one clipping. The clipping is a poem in English from a French paper sent to Hecht's mother, with handwritten notes. The newspaper is the Ninth Division Anniversary Edition paper from Fort Bragg August 1, 1941. Of particular note is the newspaper's neglect of the war in Europe.
