Scope and Contents This series contains one diary kept by Pvt. Charles Eggeling, AEF during the First World War. The first five pages of the diary contain small notes, names, and address. The next pages document Eggeling's travels by sea, and he would often note if the seas were "calm". Eggeling noted his date of discharge on May 28, 1919. There is a dried flower resting in the center of the book. The book itself is bound in brown leather and the pages are line-ruled. The diary is 2 3/4" x 4 3/4".
