Scope and Contents This series contains fourteen letters and one postcard from Cpl. Steven D. Powers, USA to Joyce Smith during the Second World War. The postcard is undated and includes a photo of Arolsen, Germany (original by Fliegeraufnahme). Cpl. Powers' correspondence began on April 2, 1943 from Camp Hulen, Texas. Scope and Contents This series contains 432 black and white photographs from the Second World War and Korean War collected by LtCol. T.H. Pritchett, USA. Of those photos, 190 were kept in a scrapbook, 80 in a loose stack, 110 in a package mailed to LtCol. Pritchett, 51 taped together in two collages and a graduation panorama. Scope and Contents This series contains a bound book called "Little Things" which was was put together by men in the 78th Signal Company at the conclusion of the Second World Wwar. The book recalls how the 78th Signal Company was put together in late 1942 and chronicles their training, their trip to England, the Battle of the Bulge, and entering Germany and remaining there until they sailed home in early 1946.
Scope and Contents This series contains three miscellaneous items: one card from Paris, France with Christmas Bells, one map of Japan with Japanese text, and one postcard with German or Austrian writing. The postcard was possibly found by Capt. Gretchen H. Yoffa during her service in the Second World War. It is from someone in Austria and sent to someone in Germany just months after the German invasion of Austria. The postcard is dated August 26, 1938 and has a picture of the town of origin.
