Scope and Contents This series contains 307 letters from EM3/C Eugene A. Gasseaux, USN to Ruth A. Adams during the Second World War. His correspondence is written primarily aboard the USS Jobb from the Pacific Theater. Gasseaux wrote to Ruth as if a lover, though it is unclear how close they really were. Scope and Contents This series contains 87 small photographs in black and white depicting the time that Capt. Gretchen H. Yoffa spent with the American Red Cross Clubmobiles in Japan. There are photos of Japanese locals, the Clubmobiles and the women that ran them, Japanese architecture, Nagasaki and the aftermath of bombings, horse riding, and some other shots of men in uniform.
